  • ulwan sea

the ulwan sea borders the southern reaches of the everglade, and is a place of serenity and relaxation in the spring and autumn, but a deadly foe in the summer. In the winter, not many choose to visit the waters, but those that did would find pickings scarce as they are for all lands, but actually a sight more plentiful than other areas, making the ulwan a place of last resorts for those in desperate need of food; all of this, of course, if they dare to brave the freezing waters that can numb the paws within minutes. any number of typical sea life can be found here, but be wary to linger for too long or to swim too far in the summer, lest a plethora of rip tides and harsh winds breeding powerful waves drag the foolish to a watery grave.

  • inyoka

winding like a serpent through the land, the inyoka seems to form from an unknown location beyond the reaches of the everglade, but is heavily fortified by the vrasialion. where the anda leaves the qothu and meets the ghost isles, an uncountable number of small streams pour in from the vrasialion, feeding into the anda where it swells to gargantuan proportions by comparison, it’s bulk of water rushing through the everglade as if in a hurry to reach the open-maw estuary and the ulwan. some twists and turns may boast calmer waters, but this river is a rushing site to behold, and the creatures within its depths are just as powerful to match. the fishing here gives meaty rewards, and great bounties of food for those who make a catch, but fighting the rushing waters is no easy task for even the most powerful of prostátis, but those who are capable will have a great dinner indeed.

  • isles of the dead

for those who would dare to swim into the unknown of the ulwan, not knowing if they might make it back to shore, a few fortunate individuals whose endurance and light pelts prevented them from sinking to the sea floor may find themselves being blessed with safety and refuge in the form of an island. this island is self-contained and perfectly sustainable, large enough to sustain life in the form of small forests and grasslands, a mountain peak, fresh water ponds and a single lake on the westerly border, and small herds of pigs and other birds and smaller mammals. those who come to the isle may find themselves wondering why it would ever earn its name; those who linger long enough to see how the sea currents direct the bodies of all those who drown to the isle’s shores would find out why.

sometimes just referred to as ‘the maw’, as far south as any wolf has dared to travel, there lies the sea. Meeting this sea, the inyoka river forms the open-maw estuary, where the freshwater river meets the saltwater of the sea, forming an area of brackish water. this estuary can be treacherous to traverse, as the erosion of the fast flowing river combating the waves of the sea makes for very unstable land. but within these waters, one may find any number of fish, as the transition from freshwater to saltwater leaves an incredible variety abundant for the picking as one travels down the length of the maw. areas prone to mangrove forests are often safer to traverse, as the roots stabilise the loose soils to an extent.
